Congratulations - Deacon Jason Giombetti

Parishioner Jason Giombetti was ordained to the Transitional Deaconate on April 30th in the Cathedral of The Holy Cross, Boston by Cardinal O'Malley.  Deacon Jason’s family has been in Ashland for many generations.  He was born here and attended Ashland public schools.  He received the Sacraments of Baptism, First Penance, First Holy Communion, and Confirmation at St.     Cecilia’s.  Deacon Jason has served our Faith Community in many ministries and was Director of Religious Education prior to entering the Seminary.  We congratulate him and wish him the very best as he continues on toward his ordination as a priest in 2017.    

Birthright Carnations  May 7-8

Birthright of Framingham will be selling Mother's Day Carnations after all the Masses on the weekend of May 7-8.  This is the primary fiundraising event for Birthright, which does not charge for its services to help pregnant women in need.  Any and all contributions are gratefully accepted.  Checks can be made out to Birthright of Framingham.  If you are interested in volunteering, please call 508-620-0657

Vacation Bible School

Vacation Bible School will be on June 27, 28, & 29.  This year's theme is Egypt - Joseph's Journey from Prison to Palace.  Music, games , snacks, and drama create a fun way to learn.  Registration Forms are available from the Religious Education Office.  Please sign up as soon as possible to allow time to order supplies needed.   

Big Band Dinner - May 14

The Parish Big Band Dinner will be held on May 14th from 6 p.m. - 9 p.m.  Save the date and plan to attend.  Get "In The Mood" for a great evening of music from the Big Band Era, dancing, light food, and desserts.  Tickets are on sale after all Masses and in the Religious Education Office:  Adults $5.00, Children $3.00.  If you wish to help out, please TEXT Liz Newton at 508-735-0231.

 

 

Cardinal Sean is asking us to support the 2016 Catholic Appeal.  This annual appeal enables the Archdiocese to "make a meaningful difference in in our efforts to bring the presence of the Lord to the people we serve."  In the spirit of the Jubilee of Mercy Year, please support this effort.  Click on the Catholic Appeal icon above to Donate On-Line and view a brief video about the Catholic Appeal.   St. Cecilia's parish goal for the Catholic Appeal is $41,131.
