Please join us in the Family Center for a fall concert featuring Yale University’s own the Society of Orpheus and Bacchus a cappella group. The Society of Orpheus and Bacchus has been delighting audiences around the world for nearly 80 years with its beautiful harmonies and inspired arrangements. St. Cecilia’s Teen Choir member Stephen McNulty is one of the newest members of this group, and as per their tradition, they SURPRISE new members with a concert in their hometown! You won't want to miss this musical extravaganza!
On All-Hallows’ Eve in 1938, twelve of the sweetest voices at Yale University converged at Mory’s Temple Bar to form an a cappella group unlike any other. As America’s longest-operating all-undergraduate a cappella group in the nation, the Society of Orpheus and Bacchus have an enormous and complex repertoire that spans more than seven decades. Our song- book includes jazz standards, folk tunes, barbershop quartets, spirituals, blues, pop, rock and roll, traditional Yale songs, and original compositions. We also pride ourselves on injecting a healthy dose of comedy into our performances to make each concert engaging, unique, and lighthearted.
